The 6th Günther Uecker Research Fellowship has been announced. Our institute will devote itself in particular during the funding year 2023 to aspects of the performative that are immanent to Uecker’s work and artistic context. Projects that deal with the artist’s actions against this background and, beyond that, with artistic strategies of the ephemeral are particularly welcome.

Applications are open to holders of a Master’s degree, doctoral students, and postdoctoral fellows from the fields of cultural studies, art studies, and related disciplines. The prerequisite for the application is an innovative research project, which will be finalized and presented in the course of the fellowship in the form of a scholarly study in German or English. The work may be published in our series Notizen zu Uecker by arrangement.
